SPECIAL CAMPS 2009 - open to adults and kids
To participate in the weekend horse trials, additional expenses
will be
incurred (transportation for horse, stall for one or two nights,
registration fee for classes).
My horse trailer only holds four horses - so first four to sign
up will be
able to go.
Beach Trip - We will haul horses to Nehalem Bay on June 14 where there are sites for
horses and campers (reservations already made). We plan to stay the whole
week on the beach with riding twice a day on the beach side and/or bay side
with the exception of two afternoons when we will travel to local towns to
check out the attractions. Kids will all sleep together in Kozowski's
teepee and adults will be spread around to keep horses and kids safe
throughout the nights. We will return to Wallowa County on June 19.
Campers may be picked up on June 14 in Portland area and/or meet parents
there on the way home. Price is regular camp fee ($500) plus gas money to
person hauling their horse ($125 last year). Send $100 deposit to hold spot.
RiverQuest Horse Trial on July 12 sponsored by the Wallowa Mountain Pony
Club. A two-day clinic will be offered preceeding the show on July 10 and
12 by Jim Briggs (jumping) and Connie Dunham (dressage). The camp fee
covers one lesson from each.
Stanton Farm Horse Trial on August 8 and 9 in Deary, Idaho. We will
travel to Deary on Friday, August 7, then compete on the 8th and 9th.
Parents are urged to attend to support their children.
Tulip Springs Horse Trial on September 5 and 6 in Tri-Cities,
Washington. There will be extra charges for stalls, gas and entry fees.
We will travel there on Sept. 4.
